Who’s Talking About Medium?
I run across a lot of Medium-related chatter about the web. Much of it I discard immediately because it is just too boring to share. (Do you want to know that Susie in Albuquerque just got her hair cut like Patricia Arquette’s bob? No? I didn’t think so.) The good stuff I post about, of course, but then there is the stuff in the middle. It is not worthy of its own post but I cannot bring myself to delete it right away.
In the interest of playing nice and sharing with the group, I offer you a roundup of some Medium-related chatter about the web of late:
- Scott thinks Allison, her kids, and pretty much everyone on the show is a bunch of sourpusses
- Allison & sis Alexis like the roller derby, as noted by one of the skaters
- There is an entire forum devoted to purses! Apparently Patricia toted a “Legacy Black Leather Ali” on a recent Medium episode. I am so out of the purse loop. I do not even know what a Legacy Black Leather Ali is, but if someone is posting about it, I must assume it is fabulous.
- Patricia had dinner with hot new couple Sheryl Crow and Hank Azaria a week ago. Do you think she was their Cupid?
- Hybrid cars were the big hype at this year’s Oscars. Some stars, like Leonardo DiCaprio, arrived in a Prius instead of a gas-guzzling limousine. Guess what? Patricia owned a hybrid before it was cool. (She gets a tiny mention at the end of the article. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.)
- RockYatra thinks the entire cast of Medium should die in a tragic blimp accident. Maybe we can convince him (her?) to spare most of the cast and settle for Tina DiJoseph. (Funny thing is, the post asks for comments but comments are closed. Hm.)

Sheila, we must be reading the same blogs, because I read almost the exact same ones. (I have no idea what a Legacy Black Leather Ali is either). But I thought it was funny that Patricia was seen at a roller-derby match. I never pictured her as the sports fan type. Maybe Alexis dragged her along. And have you noticed how many trends that are popular now, like hybrid cars and certain clothes, that Patricia was actually doing before they became trendy? I actually read weeks ago that she had been driving a hybrid for a couple of years (she also drives a Jaguar, how cool is that?) and I noticed that some of the dresses that have become popular now, like the pocket dress that Jennifer Hudson wore to the Oscars, Patricia wore last year. All this time that people have been making fun of her clothes, and she’s been a trendsetter all the time. Go figure. Just kidding, I know she’s not really a trendsetter, but she is slightly ahead of the curve sometimes.

I’ve never heard of that type of bag either ladies, but then again, I’ve been carrying the same handbag for two years now! I’m just too lazy to change it and haven’t really found anything I like.
I should probably ask one of my gay friends.
Mostly I hear about bags and shoes from TV programs. I find it ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars for a handbag or shoes.
Although I keep telling my friends I wouldn’t mind if they nominated me for “What Not To Wear” (TLC program) because I would get a trip to New York and $5000 to spend on clothes and get my hair done by a real hair God (He makes people look incredible with the right hair cut) and get new make-up, too. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings one bit. Stacy London swears if you buy the expensive high heels they are actually comfortable - I’d have to see it and wear it to believe it.

Wow, I hadn’t heard some of that stuff. I don’t know much about fancy stuff like handbags; I’ve had the same purse for awhile. Isn’t it weird that little things like this can be so interesting?
I like “What Not to Wear.” too. It’s so cool how they can take people and make them look so different with just a new haircut, make-up, and clothes!
